The scarf was hand-dyed using garnet red with a hint of orange silk alter-ego dyes. The dyeing process leaves a beautiful bright sheen on the floral pattern and fringe and a muted light-red on the silk sheer backing. After dyeing, the scarf was steamed for several hours, hand washed/rinsed with fabric soften, hung dry, and ironed.
Care Instructions: Some silk dye run-off may occur during initial washings. Hand-wash, separately, with cold water and mild detergent. Add fabric softener when washing and/or rinsing. Gently wring and hang to dry. Use a wide toothcomb, and gently comb to untangle the fringe, after dries. Use a hand-held steamer, or gently iron on a silk setting/wrong side to remove wrinkles. Store in a mesh or cloth bag or hang on a velvet hanger. Because the scarf is hand-dyed some variations in color may be seen.
