The scarf was hand-dyed using deep orange silk alter-ego dye. The alter ego dye leaves an elegant shimmer on the wavy water patterns (viscose) and tangerine color on the fringe, border, and silk backing. After dyeing, the scarf was steamed for several hours, hand washed/rinsed with fabric soften, hung dry, and ironed.
Care Instructions: Some silk dye run-off may occur during initial washings. Hand-wash, separately, with cold water and mild detergent. Add fabric softener when washing and/or rinsing. Gently wring and hang to dry. Use a wide tooth comb and gently comb the fringe to untangle it, after dries. Use a hand-held steamer, or gently iron on a silk setting/wrong side to remove wrinkles. Store in a mesh or cloth bag or hang on a velvet hanger. Because the scarf is hand-dyed some variations in color may be seen.
